South Korean midfielder Song Jin-hyung has returned home to join his original club FC Seoul after a season in Al-Sharjah.
According to Korean newspaper Yonhap News, the 2016 K League champions said Song would spend the next two months rehabbing an injury he sustained while playing in the UAE.
A product of FC Seoul youth system, Song made his senior professional debut for the club in 2003. However, he made only 15 league appearances in four years there.
The 29-year-old midfielder spent two seasons in Australia with Newcastle Jets from 2008, initially helping the club win the A-League Championship, before moving to Tours FC in the French second division.
He returned to the K League Classic for five seasons with Jeju United, where he had scored 29 goals in 165 matches, and then left for Al-Sharjah for another year overseas.
