Vietnam U20 head coach hints at resignation following World Cup debut

Hoang Anh Tuan is rumored to resign as the head coach of Vietnam’s Under-20 team.

The recent status written as “RELEASE !!! SORRY ALL !!!” on his Facebook account has sparked rumors about Tuan’s departure from Vietnam U-20 team.

Coach Hoang Anh Tuan received criticism after the unfavorable performance of his team in FIFA Under-20 World Cup last month, although he succeeded in leading Vietnam to the historic debut at the highest-level competition for young footballers.

In this tournament, the young Golden Stars have earned their first point in World Cup after a significant draw to New Zealand, before being eliminated with two defeats to France and Honduras.

Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has not made any announcement yet, leaving the future of Tuan uncertain.
