Vietnamese midfielder Luong Xuan Truong is set to make his official Gangwon FC debut in the clash against Seongnam FC.
Hosts Gangwon FC will face Seongnam in the South Korea FA Cup later today.
Gangwon manager Choi Yun-kyum revealed that he planned to give Xuan Truong a run of five games in the first team.
“I believe Truong has the quality needed to make the first team,” Choi Yun-kyum said in a pre-match conference.
“That’s why we picked him. I plan to start him in the coming five matches. The rest is up to his performances. Truong will have to prove himself.”
Truong has recovered from a complicated knee injury and played the full 90 minutes in an R-League match against Seoul E-land. Gangwon threw away their 3-1 lead in the match and ended up losing 3-4.
