Bruno Lopes joins Persija Jakarta

Former América Mineiro striker Bruno Lopes has joined Persija Jakarta on an undisclosed contract, official sources confirmed.

The Brazilian footballer is reportedly selected as the club’s marquee signing in the Liga 1 this season.

Lopes is not a stranger to the Asian football scene. The 30-year-old played for Japanese side Albirex Niigata in 2012 to 2014, before joining Ratchaburi in 2015. His latest stint was with Brazilian side Ferroviaria.

The Brazilian attacker has been training with Persija Jakarta defender Ismed Sofyan and his teammates since Wednesday. The team’s manager, Stefano Cugurra, has decided to sign Lopes after watching video clips of him training.
