Tianjin Quanjian to offer record-breaking wage for Diego Costa

Chinese Super League side Tianjin Quanjian are reportedly working on a deal to sign Spanish striker Diego Costa from Chelsea, according to sources.

The club tried to sign Costa during the Winter transfer windows, but failed to reach a deal with his parent club Chelsea.

However, according to new reports, Tianjin Quanjian are ready to make Diego Costa the best-paid footballer in the world, offering him an eye-watering £650,000 a week after tax.

For comparison, the Spanish striker is currently earning £650,000 a week at Chelsea.

If the move materializes, Costa will join former AC Milan forward Alexandre Pato at Tianjin Quanjian. The club paid £15 million to sign the former Brazilian wonderkid from Villarreal in January.
