2. Takeshi Okada

Takeshi Okada took Japan to their first ever World Cup appearance in 1998, before moving on to Consadole Sapporo (1999–2001) and Yokohama F. Marinos (2003–2006).

Okada returned to the national team for a second stint between 2007 and 2010. This time he gained worldwide attention for leading Japan to a ninth-place finish in the 2010 World Cup.

The 60-year-old is unemployed after resigning from Hangzhou Greentown in 2013.
