Philippines 4-1 Nepal (AFC Asian Cup Qualification – Third Round)
Philippines hammered Nepal 4-1 in their Group F match of the AFC Asian Cup third round qualifiers played at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium in Manila.
Phil Younghusband scored a quick-fire brace in the 21st and 23rd minute before Iain Ramsey scored the third just four minutes later.
Bishal Rai pulled one back for Nepal in the stoppage time of the first half, but it clearly wasn’t enough for the visitor. Javier Patino sealed the win for the Philippines with just 18 minutes before time.
The result puts the Philippines on the top of Group F with three points after one game.
