Azkals to call up new three foreign-based players

Philippines national team are set to call up new three foreign-based players for their upcoming 2019 Asian Cup qualifiers campaign against Nepal on March 28.

According to the Azkals team manager Dan Palami, the team has been in touch with aan overseas midfielder, defender and forward.

One of them is rumoured to be Raphael Obermair, who currently plays for Bayern Munich II but already joined with the senior team training session in this season.

The 20-year-old German-born attacking midfielder and another two players are in the process of securing Philippines passports to be eligible for the squad.

The Azkals are pitted in Group F of the third round of the Asian Cup qualifiers, along with Nepal, Yemen and Tajikistan.
