Iranian midfielder Ashkan Dejagah has been ruled out for up to a month after suffering a serious calf injury while playing for German club Wolfsburg, according to sources.
At the moment, it is unclear if Dejagah will be able to play two World Cup qualifiers against Qatar and China yet.
Previously, the former Fulham and Hertha Berlin player reportedly signed a contract to play for Wolfsburg until the end of the season, with an option to extend the deal for another year.
Dejagah had spent five years playing for Wolfsburg before, winning one Bundesliga title with them, before joining Fulham in 2012.
He left the English club in 2014, making a move to Qatari club Al-Arabi SC.
The 30-year-old footballer also represented Iran at international level, making debut for Team Melli in 2012
