Home United defeat Phnom Penh Crown to qualify for AFC Cup

Singaporean outfit Home United has qualified for the 2017 AFC Cup after a 3-0 victory over Phnom Penh Crown in the second leg of their qualifying playoff, which saw them secured a 7-3 aggregate victory.

Goals from Adam Swandi, Stipe Plazibat Amiruldin Asyraf marked a dominant display by the hosts.

Meanwhile, Boeung Ket Angkor became the first Cambodian club to qualify for the group stage of the AFC Cup after a 1-0 win over Lao Toyota in the second leg of the play-off match.

Boeung Ket Angkor’s sole goal was scored by Japanese striker Tomoki Muramatsu in the first half and the Cambodian team defended well to book their place in the second-tier Asian club competition.
