Chinese Super League side Tianjin Quanjian have turned their interest toward Croatian striker Mario Mandzukic after failing to get his compatriot Nikola Kalinic’s service, according to Italian newspapers.
Kalinic was reportedly offered a big-money contract with wages worth of €10m per year. However, the Fiorentina striker has turned down the offer in order to stay with his beloved La Viola.
Nevertheless, Tianjin Quanjian manager Fabio Cannavaro is said to be very determined to get a big-name striker from Europe, and he’d likely turn to his old club Juventus to arrange a transfer.
The Chinese club has reportedly made a €28 million offer for Mandzukic, and the Croatian international player will be offered a contract with wages worth of €7.8m per season.
