AFC Bournemouth fully fit squad with Tyler Adams return

Andoni Iraola quips that having a fully fit squad is a ‘good and a bad thing’ with Tyler Adams’ return from injury giving the Cherries a clean bill of health.

Adams resumed training with the first team squad over the international break, getting some minutes in a behind-closed-doors friendly as the American was one of three players to have surgery over the summer, with Enes Unal and David Brooks making their returns to the side earlier this season.

When queried how much of a boost Adams’ return and a full squad is, the Basque boss said: “I think it’s a good thing and a bad thing.

“It’s a good thing because I have a lot of choices to make and I have different options even for the subs.

“For me, I think we are one of the teams who makes more subs.

“So, I think it’s very good to have everyone available. But it’s going to be difficult for me because starting from today, I will have to make a squad, I will have to leave players out of the squad even.

“It’s going to be strong competition, not even to start, even to play ten minutes, even to make the squad.

“I think if we can keep this availability, touch wood, the same way as we have had this season, I think in the mid, long term will be good for the team.”
