Tottenham Hotspur fans are now optimistic that a move for Adama Traore of Wolverhampton Wanderers is a realistic possibility after the club’s top brass finally brought their search for a new manager to an end last night, as they announced the arrival of former Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo.
Nuno will almost certainly be looking to make alterations to a squad which went through a batch patch of form the second half of last term, with many Tottenham fans now believing that star striker Traore’s arrival could be a real possibility. Traore had previously been linked with Spurs when Jose Mourinho was in charge.
Wolves are allegedly open to selling the wide-man this summer in a bid to raise funds, according to 90Mins.
However, it’s still to be seen whether Tottenham would actually have the money to finance a move for the £40 million Spanish international, according to Eurosport.
Traore could be an appealing option for Tottenham, despite not having had his most productive season in terms of goals or assists, as his much-vaunted pace and dribbling skills make him a valuable asset.
And as an option as a right-wing back, Traore would surely be an upgrade on any of Tottenham’s current players.
