Melaka United players are free from Covid-19 symptoms after the squad received the results of the swab test today.
Melaka United manager, Muhammad Akram Abdullah confirmed that the entire team including the players and staff received a negative results in the COVID-19 screening test.
This is after the team was quarantined after returning from Sabah.
He said all players and officers underwent swab tests twice and then underwent quarantine at the hotel.
Melaka also asked for the match against Kedah to be postponed to allow the team to undergo training.
“In this regard, we made an application to postpone the match against Kedah which was accepted by the Malaysian Football League (MFL) and the opposing team.
“The opportunity is used for trainings after the quarantine period ends. It is important for teams that are disrupted due to COVID-19.”
Melaka will face Kedah at the Darul Aman Stadium, Alor Setar, this Sunday.
