[VIDEO] Bruno Fernandes: The most valuable midfielder in the world

Bruno Fernandes has been named the most valuable midfielder in world football, despite only making a move to Manchester United in January according to the latest CIES Football Observatory transfer value list.

The 25-year-old Portuguese international has been a revelation for United fans, his performance led him to win Premier League player of the month for February before the league was suspended.

His performance has also placed him as the most valuable midfielder overall, with the estimation placing him at 104.9million euros ahead of Chelsea’s Mason Mount (102.5million euros), and Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong (102.1million euros).

However, they could never beat PSG’s Kylian Mbappe who tops the list for all positions, as he valued a staggering 259.2million euros, way ahead of Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling (194.7 million euros) and Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho (179.1million euros).

Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold is the highest valued defender at 171.1million euros, while United’s Marcus Rashford valued at 152.3million euros.
