Blaise Matuidi will miss out through suspension, meaning Ousmane Dembele could come back into the side.
Having played the full 90 minutes in three of France’s matches, Olivier Giroud is expected to lead the line once again. The Chelsea striker’s aerial prowess will likely come in handy against Uruguay’s solid defence.
Benjamin Pavard is expected to start again at right-back. Thought to be the second choice behind Djibril Sidibe pre-tournament, Pavard’s amazing goal in the previous round would have cemented his place in Deschamps’ eleven.
Giroud, Corentin Tolisso, Paul Pogba and Pavard are all one booking away from a suspension in the quarter-finals, should France make it that far.
Jose Gimenez and Diego Godin will face Atletico Madrid teammates Antoine Griezmann, while Samuel Umtiti and Ousmane Dembele could face their Barca teammate Luis Suarez.
