2.Sergio Aguero
The Argentinian star suffered an injury during the training last month but the injury was aggravated by a knock from Ashley Young’s reckless challenge in the Manchester derby. Against medical advice he came off the bench again in a bid to help City in their Champions League quarter-final second leg against Liverpool but confessed afterwards he couldn’t run and was in pain.
Aguero is currently undergoing rehab in Barcelona after his successful key-hole surgery on his left knee and is reported to be in good condition without any discomfort post-surgery. With Aguero making steady progress he might make it in time before Argentina play their first group game against Iceland on June 16 and is confident he will be ready.
Aguero tweeted recently: “Recovering from an arthroscopy on my knee. Fully motivated to get back soon to the field.”
