Mongkol Tossakrai Leave The Fire Bat For The White Elephants

Trat FC continues to strengthen the squad with their 6th signing during the Thai League hiatus.

Mongkol Tossakrai, 33, joined Sukhothai FC on a free transfer after the disbanding of Army United, a club which Mongkol captained and made over a hundred appearances for. However, the hardworking winger decided to part ways with The Fire Bat after just 2 games pre-lockdown – becoming the second ex-Sukhothai player after centre-back Suttinun Phukhom to head to the southeast coast of Thailand.

The 2 times AFF Suzuki Cup winner comes with plenty of experience having represented clubs such as Chiangrai United, Muangthong United and Police Tero etc. Mongkol was also part of the Muangthong side that reached the round of 16 of the 2017 AFC Champions League, featuring in 6 out of 8 possible matches.

As for Trat FC, they one of the two teams with zero points from the first 4 games and currently hold the league’s worst goal difference record (-8). Mongkol could possibly make his debut on the 13th of September when Trat FC visit Chonburi FC at the Chonburi Stadium, kick-off at 18:00 local time.
