Dutch club Zwolle have announced the signing of Iran national team former striker Reza Ghoochannejhad from Cyprus club Apoel FC.
Ghoochannejhad has played for Australian club FC Sydney on loan from Apoel last season and became the first Iranian international in the A-League. He later scored the winning penalty in the 2019 A-League Grand Final and became the first Iranian to win the title in Australian A League.
Zwolle is Ghoochannejhad third club in Dutch league as he had played for Heerenveen and FC Emmen in the Eredivisie.
He was in Iran squad at 2014 and 2018 World cup and scored Iran only goal in Brazil but in Russia, he has been an unused substitute and then, he decided to announce his retirement from International games.
