Singaporean goalkeeper Hassan Sunny is set to play two friendly matches in Japan after J3 league outfit Gainare Tottori sent him an invitation to play for them.
Hassan, who signed for S.League side Home United earlier this year, said he couldn’t turn down the offer from Gainare Tottori.
However, the 33-year-old goalkeeper said he would be fair to Home United and would return to Singapore upon completing the two matches.
The offer for Hassan comes just days after Geylang International midfielders Gabriel Quak and Shawal Anuar got an opportunity to attend trials with J2 League club Matsumoto Yamaga.
“My dream is to play in Japan, even if it is just to play in a friendly match, and of course, to represent Singapore the best that I can”, the veteran goalkeeper told local newspapers.
“It’s more like a training stint and my intention is to join training and make a mark; I am not hoping for anything more. If there is interest, the club will have to go through the right procedures and make an offer. I am in no position to say anything”, he added.
