Chelsea manager Antonio Conte: Diego Costa won’t go to China

Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte believes Diego Costa’s future is at Chelsea, despite interest from China.

The Spanish striker was linked with a big-money move to Chinese club Tianjin Quanjian following a training ground bust-up with the Italian manager.

As a result, Diego Costa was dropped from the team in a Premier League against defending champions Leicester City.

However, the pair have since made up, and now Conte said he is confident of keeping the striker at the London club.

“Diego is a very important player. The situation is clear, he wants to stay with us and fight for the title”, Conte told English newspapers.

“I think he will stay for some time. I see him every day and his commitment and behavior. He loves this club”, he added.
