PSIS Semarang
Shortly after Tae-yong’s sacking, a video of PSIS Semarang president Yoyok Sukawi began to make circulation within social media. Within the video, Yoyok discussed the possibility of bringing Tae-yong in as the Mahesa Jenar‘s head coach in the near future.
However, Yoyok told Tribun Jateng shortly after the video went viral that he made the statement regarding Tae-yong back in early 2022, when it was rumored that the South Korean has yet to extend his contract with the Indonesia national team. And while at that time the PSIS camp did try to reach out to Tae-yong and his agent, nothing came out of it, and eventually PSIS opted for Sergio Alexandre as their head coach for that season.
When asked about whether PSIS will make an approach for Tae-yong after his departure from the national team, Yoyok vehemently denied it, stating that PSIS are content with current head coach Gilbert Agius at the helm.
