Turtles Sign Adisak Kraisorn from Twin Kirins

Liga Super Malaysia side Terengganu FC have announced the signing of Thailand international Adisak Kraisorn from Thai League 1 giants Muangthong United on Thursday. The 31-year old is set to become the second Thai player to sign for a Malaysian club in 2022, following Sanrawat Dechmitr’s loan spell at Kedah Darul Aman last season.

Having decided against extending the contracts of Kipre Tchetche and Kpah Sherman, Terengganu acted swiftly in securing replacements for the 2023 season. Following the signing of Haiti international Sony Norde from cash-strapped Melaka United, the Turtles added more to their firepower with the signing of Kraisorn, who had spent the last couple of seasons away on loan at Port FC.

A well-decorated striker in Southeast Asia, Kraisorn had scored 59 goals throughout his 12 year career in the Thai League 1, representing clubs such as Muangthong, Buriram United, BEC Tero Sasana, and Port. Kraisorn’s honors include four Thai League 1 titles, three Thai FA Cups, five Thai League Cups, two Kor Royal Cups, a Thailand Champions Cup, and a Mekong Club Championship title.

With the Thailand national team, Kraisorn had earned 49 caps in the senior level, scoring 19 times. He won two AFF Championships and two King’s Cup titles with the Changsuek, nabbing the top-scorer award for the 2018 AFF Championship in the process.

At youth level, Kraison won gold in the 2013 SEA Games as well as winning the AFF U-19 Youth Championship back in 2009.

By signing with Terengganu, Kraisorn fulfilled his life-long dream of playing abroad and despite not playing in the J.League like fellow Thai internationals Chanathip Songkrasin, Supachok Sarachat, Theerathon Bunmathan, Teerasil Dangda, and Sittichok Paso, Kraison still relished the challenge of playing his football outside of Thailand.

“If I have the opportunity to play abroad, I want to try to play in Malaysia or Vietnam. Not necessarily in Japan like some other Thai players. I want to play abroad because I want to try new cultures, I really want to do it before I hang up my boots,” said Kraisorn, as quoted from MakanBola.

Kraisorn is currently participating in the 2022 AFF Championship with the Thailand national team, with the Changsuek set to play against the Philippines in their second Group A match on December 26th.
