All of Manchester United’s fans are raving happy that Jadon Sancho is set to join the Red Devils from Borussia Dortmund after the conclusion of Euro 2020.
However, both Erling Haaland and his dad do not seem too enthused that talented Borussia Dormund winger is joining Old Trafford.
After waiting a year to agree a deal, United and Dortmund seems to have settled on a £73million fee for wingman Sancho last week, with the transfer soon to be completed after Sancho returns from Euro 2020, subject to personal terms and a medical.
As United fans drool shamelessly over their new addition to their team, Dortmund fans will be licking their wounds disparagingly after watching with their own eyes as Sancho developed into one of Europe’s most fleet-footed, dangerous wingers in the past few years in the Bundesliga.
Sancho’s progression has been aided and abetted in no small part by his flourishing relationship with striker Haaland, with the pair combining to devastating effect in the Bundesliga to see the club lifting the league championship title last season.
However, now Sancho has earned his move back to the Premier League, it appears Haaland has still not gotten over the news judging from his reaction to one of his former teammate’s latest Instagram posts.
Uploading a picture from the England camp ahead of their Euro 2020 semi-final with Denmark on Wednesday, Sancho looked in good spirits as he looks to keep his place in the Three Lions’ starting XI. He captioned the post with a grinning emoji.
And among the comments was Haaland, who counteracting the smile on Sancho’s face, could only reply with a crying face emoji in return, seemingly not able to control his emotion over losing his front line partner at Dortmund.
Last week, Haaland’s father Alfie tweeted about the transfer: “F—. But all the best [Sancho] you will be missed.”
