Gareth Bale’s agent has finally shed light on where his most prominent client can play next season

Gareth Bale’s days at Real Madrid are clearly numbered, and even though reports from earlier today stated that his future seems to be heading towards Old Trafford, the stuck-in-limbo player’s agent Jonathan Barnett has come up to set the record straight about his client’s next move.

In an interview with BBC Sport Wales, Barnett spoke about Bale’s contract situation, with the agent admitting that he has started negotiations with Real Madrid for his client to leave the club. Barnett wasn’t evasive when asked about Bale’s new destination, seemingly ruling out a move to Old Trafford.

“Gareth still loves Spurs, we are talking. It’s where he wants to be,” Barnett told the media outlet.

Talk about Bale’s ext from Real Madrid has been circulating for quite some time, with the player’s suppposed reluctance to accept any deal delaying all negotiations last season, but his agent and his inner circle have finally convinced him to leave Los Blancos in favor of a sensational return to the Premier League.

Tottenham’s negotiations with Real Madrid to add Bale to their roster have also included discussions to see Sergio Reguilón joining Spurs. The deal for Bale could also see Dele Alli joining the Spanish side, although the number of midfielders included in Zidane’s squad make it difficult to include the English footballer in the negotiation.
