Talks between Arturo Vidal and Barcelona over a contract tock according to Mundo Deportivo’s online edition report.
Vidal is demanding what remains of his contract plus the bonuses Barcelona are still due him. The bonuses alone are worth €2.4 million and Vidal has already made a complaint to the Spanish players union about this back in January.
Vidal has just under a year left to run on his contract with the Blaugrana club and once he reaches an agreement with Barcelona, he is to join Inter, who he has already agreed a contract with.
As per various reports in the media, the experienced Chilean national team player, who can count Bayern Munich and Juventus among his former clubs, has agreed to a two year deal with an option to a third year worth €6 million a year.
For several days now Vidal has been on the verge of joining Inter but before he can do that he needs to agree to a contract termination with the Blaugrana club, who he is still training with.
In the 2019/20 season, Vidal made 43 appearances, in which he scored eight goals and provided three assists for his teammates.
It has also been reported that while Vidal is engaged in the deadlock with Barcelona over his contract termination, Inter have rejected Barcelona’s request for compensation for the midfielder, according to the latest report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
