Jeonbuk Hyundai ended their three-game winless run with a comfortable 3-0 win over FC Seoul, with new signing Gustavo getting on the scoresheet
Jeonbuk Hyundai returned with a win over FC Seoul over the weekend, scoring three goals at home to collect their first win after three games.
First-half goals from Han Gyo-won and Lee Seung-ki put the game beyond doubt before new striker Gustavo Enrique netted the side’s third goal with a header in the second half.
The result means that Jeonbuk retains their second-place position three points behind Ulsan, while it meant that Seoul drops to second-last with just 10 points from 13 games.
However, this result was not enough to regain their place at the top of the K-League table, as Ulsan Hyundai pulled off a 5-1 away win over Sanju Sangmu on Saturday.
Despite going one goal down after just four minutes, the Tigers fought back with a brace from top scorer Junior Negrao.
Elsewhere, third-placed Pohang Steelers were held to a 1-1 draw at home against bottom side Incheon United, while Suwon Bluewings picked up a 1-0 win over Gwangju FC.
