Jadet Meelarp given green light to sign Thai legend as backroom staff

Chonburi FC general manager agreed for Therdsak Chaiman join Jadet Meelarp as part of Port FC’s backroom staff.

Mr Sasit Singtothong, The Sharks general manager, confirmed that first-team coach Therdsak Chaiman will reunite with Jadet Meelarp at PAT Stadium as an assistant manager.

“We have green light Therdsak Chaiman’s move to join Jadet Meelarp as assistant manager at Port FC so [Therdsak] could learn the coaching side of things before starting his pro-license course in the near future.”

Therdsak is considered as one of the best midfielders to represent Chonburi FC, took his first chance in coaching as the team’s assistant in 2015 and promoted to head coach position in 2016. The former BEC Tero Sasana and Singapore Armed Forces FC talisman were in charge of Phuket FC in 2019 before returning as part of the first-team backroom staff at Chonburi FC once again earlier in the season under Sasom Pobprasert, a former Port FC head coach.

Having parted ways with Choketawee Promrut during the Thai League hiatus, and initially looking for some new candidates, Port FC decided to put Jadet Meelarp in charge for his 3rd spell. Regardless of tactical input, one thing The Port Lions can expect from Therdsak is his positive energy and wealth of experience at the highest level of SEA Football. Man management is a key aspect of any dressing room, especially one full of big names like Port FC, and Therdsak could play an important role in keeping things fresh for Jadet.
