Ulsan Return to K-League Summit After Jeonbuk Draw With Seongnam

Ulsan Hyundai have returned to the top of the K-League after Jeonbuk dropped two valuable points in their draw against Seongnam FC.

Defending champions Jeonbuk Hyundai have dropped points for the second week in a row, after losing 1-0 against Sangju Sangmu the previous week.

The leaders were held to a shocking 2-2 draw at home against their opponents, who were second from bottom in the K-League table.

Seongnam took a surprise 2-goal lead in the first half, only for Jeonbuk to hit back with two of their own in the second. Unfortunately for the home team, their comeback was not enough and they only picked up one point from their match.

This result gave Ulsan the chance to return to first place the following day with their game against Daegu FC. Two goals from Junior Negrao and one from Shin Jin-Ho sealed the win for the visiting team.

Negrao has now scored 14 goals from 11 games this season and is by far the K-League’s highest-scoring player. His attacking contributions have been crucial as Ulsan find themselves once again at the top of the league.
