Former BG Pathum United and Tokushima Vortis winger Chakkit Laptrakul has completed a transfer to Samut Prakan City.
Chakkit, who was recently released from his contract by BG, was available on a free transfer, with Samut Prakan City snapping up the chance to sign the talented wide-man.
The 25-year-old, who is Thai-French, started three out of BG’s first four games of the season before the extended break, and the news of his contract termination came as a surprise to many supporters.
In 2019, Chakkit spent a season on loan with J2 side Tokushima Vortis as the side fought for promotion. However, injury and fitness concerns prevented the winger from making an impact, and his only appearance came in the Emperor’s Cup.
Notably two-footed and comfortable down either flank, Chakkit adds crucial depth to Samut Prakan City’s team and could allow them to become more flexible in their setup.
