The Thai League has officially set September 12th as the date for its return, as confirmed by the Football Association of Thailand yesterday.
This move follows the enforced break due to COVID-19, which prompted the move to a European-style September-to-May schedule for the league.
As per the FA’s decision, the league will run from September 12th and finish on May 15th. The provisional schedule also makes room for both domestic cups, the League Cup and FA Cup, to be played out in full.
Meanwhile, the second division (T2) will also start on September 12th but run until April 25th, with the league playing promotion play-offs for the first time from May 2nd to 23rd.
