Chonburi FC made waves last season when the side pivoted towards signing a whole host of older players and former Thailand internationals. The most notable signing has turned out to be former BEC Tero and Bangkok United star Teerathep Winothai, who has established himself as a key player for the Sharks since his arrival last June.
‘Leesaw’ is one of the most renowned footballers in the country. Having spent time in the academies of Crystal Palace and Everton during his youth, he has played for a host of top Thai clubs including BEC Tero, Muangthong, Bangkok Glass, and Bangkok United.
The forward has also played 52 games for the Thai national team, scoring 16 times. He is also known for scoring the only goal in the Thai League Singha All-Stars pre-season victory over Manchester United in 2013, condemning David Moyes to defeat in his first game as United boss.
