Tottenham and South Korea international forward Son Heung-min will is set to complete mandatory military service during the enforced break to the Premier League during COVID-19, according to this report from British media outlet the Mirror.
With the Premier League suspended indefinitely, Son has returned to South Korea and will undertake a three-week course of military service and complete 500 hours of community service.
Son managed to earn an exemption from the standard two-year military service that South Korean nationals must go through, as he led South Korea to win Gold at the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia.
The North London club have announced that Son is expected to return in May, and thus is expected to not miss any games due to the league’s indefinite postponement.
