JDT Unveil Magnificent Sultan Ibrahim Stadium

After a four-year wait, Johor Darul Ta’zim fans finally get to see their new home, Sultan Ibrahim Stadium.

Solely owned by Johor Darul Ta’zim FC, the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium sits on a 140,000 square meter land that also houses the JDT headquarters.

Situated in Johor’s rapidly growing Iskandar Puteri district, construction of-the state-of-the-art arena commenced in 2016 and finally reached completion in 2020.

The stadium seating capacity is over 35,000 spectators including eight specially-themed elegant corporate boxes to suit various hospitality needs.

The new stadium is also the first football-only football stadium with natural grass in Malaysia, using Zeon Zoysia grass which is known for having a drainage system that prevents waterlogging.

Equipped with modern LED floodlights and multi-rhythm multi-colored facade lights, the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium provides an enhanced viewing and lighting experience that will leave visitors mesmerized.

While the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium is a perfect venue for football, the iconic landmark is also a must-visit site for tourists.

With many shopping outlets, merchandise stores and restaurants set to open, the stadium environment could be a perfect shopping and leisure destination.

The opening of the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium marks another chapter for the Southern Tigers as JDT look to take on the future.

While the current JDT training center, Padang Seri Gelam is undergoing expansion to build a medical center as well, JDT are already planning a one-stop training center for all teams from Under-12 to the first team.

JDT’s relentless pursuit of success, pushing boundaries, setting milestones and create new benchmarks have made them grow into one of the leading teams in Southeast Asia.
