Chonburi FC Signs Former Port and Bangkok United Striker Dragan Boskovic

Chonburi FC signs 34 years old striker Dragan Bošković on a free transfer.

The Montenegrin began his Thai League career with Suphanburi FC in 2013 but it was Bošković’s 3 years spell with Bangkok United, where he netted 75 goals in 103 appearances in all competition, that cemented his place in the record books. Bošković tally of 38 won him the 2017 league’s topscorer award and is the record-high for any player in a season.

Bošković left the Angels for Port FC the following season but was, unfortunately, withdrew from last half of the 2019 campaign and was free to sign with any club for free. Herlison Caion inability to build on from his early form left and Lukian Almeida’s departure to Júbilo Iwata left a significant dent in the Shark’s attack. Bošković impressed in recent is expect to spearhead Sasom Pobprasert’s attack in the upcoming season.

This is Chonburi FC’s 4th major unveiling of the week after announcing captain Kroekrit Thaweekan’s contract extension, Philippines defender Carli de Murga and veteran forward Teeratep Winothai – another free agent recruit.
