Recently relegated Chainat Hornbill FC has signed promising Myanmar youngster Myat Kaung Khant from Yadanarbon FC.

The 19-year-old striker recently helped his country to a bronze medal at the 2019 SEA Games. Comfortable leading the line or attacking the flanks, Kaung Khant netted his first senior goal on his debut with Yadanarbon at the age of 17. He would go on to score 11 more in his next 33 appearances for the side.

Kaung Khant is one of the most prolific attackers at youth level in Myanmar and has already represented the senior side twice. He even got himself on the scoresheet in a friendly against Bahrain back in October 2018.

Chainat Hornbill finished 15th and thus were relegated from the Thai League (T1). They scored a mere 31 goals, the second-fewest in the league last season, and have set out to improve their firepower in the off-season.

The Hornbills also bought in Harrison Cardoso and 2019 T2 top scorer Bruno Correa this week, from Rayong FC and Udon Thani FC respectively.
