Bangkok United have sent a number of their young players on loan to partner club FC Tokyo in the J.League, and could be looking to do the same with attacking midfielder Anon Amornlerdsak for the 2020 season, according to this report from Ballthai.
The capital clubs have exchanged players in the past, with Bangkok’s youngsters Jakkit Wachpirom and Nattawut Suksum both spending time with FC Tokyo’s U23 squad over the past few seasons. However, neither was able to break into the first team.
Nattawut, who is currently on loan with FC Tokyo, played 17 matches for the club’s U23 side in J3, scoring three goals. The club also has the opportunity to extend his loan deal for one more season.
Anon would be a different type of signing when compared to his predecessors, as he has already established himself as a key player of the first team for Bangkok United. Additionally, he is also a regular for the Thai U23 squad and has been invited by Akira Nishino to train with the War Elephants’ first team on a few occasions.
However, this move is somewhat questionable as Tokyo’s U23 side is no longer able to compete in J3 – and even if they were, playing regularly for a top Thai club would surely be a better experience for Anon. However, it is doubtful that he would be able to get much game time with the first team.
