Vietnam Beat Brunei in SEA Games Opener with Reserve Squad

Despite fielding a reserve squad, Vietnam eased to victory and emerged with all three points after a 6-0 win over Brunei.

Park Hang Seo’s side did not waste much time and scored their first goal after just nine minutes with a cool finish from Ha Duc Chinh. Before interval, SHB Danang striker scored another to make it 2-0.

In the second half, with the introduction from some key players like Trong Hoang and Tien Linh, the team played better and scored four more goals, as Duc Chinh completed his hattrick. Trong Hung and Viet Hung scored to complete the 6-0 rout.

Speaking after the match, coach Park Hang Seo was pleased with the result. He mentioned that the team needs to do better with more focus on the next game.

In the next match, Vietnam will take on Laos DPR at Rizal Memorial on the 28th of November.
