Buriram Target Chainat’s Thai U23 International Jaturapat Sattham

Thai League runners-up Buriram United are looking to make Chainat’s Thailand U23 International Jaturapat Sattham their first major signing of the close season, as reported by Siamsport.

Jaturapat has had an impressive breakout season in the Thai League this year. He arguably first came to prominence when he scored a goal against Buriram United, putting in a man-of-the-match performance as his Chainat side beat the Thunder Castle 2-1 at home.

Since then, Jaturapat has been a crucial player for the Hornbills, contributing to many attacks down the left flank while working on improving the defensive aspect of his game. He has also made his debut for the Thai U23 national team and is coming closer to positioning himself as the most talented left-back in the country despite the stiff competition he faces.

The 20-year-old’s contract reportedly runs on though the end of the 2020 season, meaning that Buriram will need to dish out a transfer fee to secure his services. However, they could get a discount on that as the Hornnbills were relegated this season, and the left-back could be agitating for a move.

Moving to one of – if not the – biggest club in the country will be a crucial step for Jaturapat to fulfill his potential. However, it remains to be seen how he fits into the team’s structure, with the likes of Sasalak Haiprakhon being a mainstay down the left for the club this season.
