Chananan was first called up by Nishino for the 33-man provisional squad for the previous World Cup qualifying game against Vietnam and Indonesia but was not included in the final list.
The 27-year-old has 9 caps for the War Elephants so far. He was part of the side’s 2019 AFC Asian Cup squad, and his last appearance came in a friendly against China back in March. The striker moved to Bangkok United from Suphanburi in the mid-season transfer window.
Meanwhile, Fulham midfielder Ben Davis has joined up with Thailand’s U23 side for the first time. Previously capped at youth levels by Singapore and also eligible to represent England, Davis chose the country of his birth after defaulting on National Service commitments with his original country of choice.
