Bangkok United Sign Chananan, Loan Out Jakkapan in Transfer Window Reboot

Second-placed Bangkok United are reshaping their squad for the second half of the season, hoping to give their side extra impetus in their chase of defending champions Buriram United.

Last week, the side announced the return of former striker, Nigerian-Bahraini forward Jaycee John, to fill their AFC Quota for the second leg. This move likely indicates that Mike Havenaar could be set to return to parent club Vissel Kobe in the J.League.*

The Angels have added to their forward line once again, by securing a move for Chanan Pombuppha from Suphanburi. The forward came to prominence with his performances last season, even earning a call up to the 2019 AFC Asian Cup squad for Thailand.

This move comes after the side offloaded two notable forwards on a temporary basis for the remainder of the season. Veteran forward Teeratep Winothai has left to join Chonburi on loan, while winger Jakkapan Pornsai has joined Ratchaburi for the second leg of the season.

*Editor’s Note = Mike Havenaar will remain at Bangkok United and has been registered for both the Thai League cup and Thai FA Cup for the remainder of the season.
