The 27-year-old Korean forward Son was undoubtedly the star last night. Son Heung-min found the next twice as the team demolished Crystal Palace 4:0.
His opener on 10 minutes ended his 5-month-long goal drought. He added another goal of the highest quality, which was his 118th goal in Europe. The Korean legend Cha Bum-kun is holding the record for the most goals scored in Europe with his 121 goals, but Son is getting close.
After the match, Son sent a strong message to the team: “I think we should play like this always, and perform like this always, we have to try like this and we’re really, really happy to get three points.
“This is a reminder of how strong we are,” said the Korean star to the league title’s favorites Manchester City and Liverpool.
“The players should know how strong we are and how we should play. I hope we can learn so many things about this game and we can perform always like this and this season will be really, really positive.”
