Terengganu will host Kedah at the Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah Stadium for Matchday 5 of the Malaysia Cup. In their last meeting, Kedah was defeated at home 2-0 by The Turtles. Currently, Terengganu is on top of the table in group A with nine points, two points ahead of Kedah. Aidil Sharins’s squad need to collect all three points as it is crucial for them in order to qualify for the next round. On the other hand, Terengganu under Irfan Bakti surely want to bounce back from a shock defeat against Negri Sembilan in their previous fixture. Jonathan Bauman will possibly be the man on target for Kedah as Lee Tuck will plays his role to conduct Terengganu.

Meanwhile, in Ipoh, Perak will face Pahang. The latter have already qualified for the next round as they managed to collect three points in all of their previous matches. Both teams are considered to have a high chance of winning the Malaysia Cup. However, FA Cup finalists Perak are struggling after just collected five points from their first four matches. Even though their squad contains several national players such as Shahrul Saad, Brendan Gan, Hafizul Hakim, and Nazirul Naim, they still need to improve their performance. Meanwhile, Pahang will probably rotate their squad as they already qualified for the next stage. Regardless, The Bos Gaurus need to win this match as Penang will also fight for the second spot in Group C.

Melaka United will visits Shah Alam as they face Selangor. Both teams have a number of experienced players. There is no doubt that this match would be interesting to watch. Both teams in Group D were held with six points. In their last meeting, Selangor took away all three points after 1-0 win over Melaka United. Selangor’s key players such as Ifedayo and Khyril Muhymeen will be a big threat to Razman Roslan. Meanwhile, Safiq Rahim and Nazrin Nawi will play a big role in attacking the Red Giants at home.
