Japan Starlet Takefusa Kubo Joins RCD Mallorca on Loan

Real Madrid have agreed to a loan move for Japanese young star Takefusa Kubo to RCD Mallorca.

Kubo joined Real Madrid Castilla during this summer but, by the end, he had trained and even played with Real Madrid’s top team. The Japanese starlet also showed some great performances during the club’s Asia tour.

Some rumors mentioned the possibility for the Japanese player to possibly join the Real Madrid first team, but the club decided that was too early for him to play at the top of Spanish football.

However, his great performances took the interest of several other Spanish clubs and yesterday night Mallorca announced the astonishing news.

Here’s the official tweet from the club.

Kubo has become the third Japanese player in Mallorca’s history after Yoshito Okubo and Akihito Ienaga.

A very big and welcome surprise for Asian football fans, who can see the Japanese prodigy show his skills in La Liga, the first division of Spanish Football, instead of the second division.

According to Japanese TV, there is also the possibility for him to play his first game this weekend.
