Without any doubt, the English Premier League is the most followed league across all Asia. Supporters on the continent stay up all night following game in pubs and enjoying their beloved clubs.

In the last few years, thanks to the increasing quality of the Asian leagues, plenty of Asian players have been able to play in England at a high level and the league popularity’s grown even more.

Son Heung-min

With his signing with Tottenham Hotspur’s, he became the most expensive Asian player in football history. He is also the top Asian goalscorer in Premier League history with 42 goals and is currently the captain of the South Korea National Football Tram.

Shinji Okazaki

During the 2015/16 season, he contributed to Leicester City’s historical title-win. He is famous for his guts in front of the goal and his attitude to never surrender. His fabulous overhead kick against Newcastle will be remembered forever

He is also the top scorer in the history of the Japan national team with 50 goals. Currently, he’s under a one-year contract deal with Málaga CF in the Spanish second division.
