Hanoi FC looks to extend their lead at the top of the table when they face Thanh Hoa in Round 20 of the V.League this weekend.

At the moment, Hanoi is leading by two points over Ho Chi Minh City (37 and 35), while the league has only seven matches to go.

This weekend, Hanoi will have the home advantage to play against Thanh Hoa while Ho Chi Minh City needs to travel to Quang Nam.

Besides their home advantage, Hanoi could be given a further boost due to a weakening of the opponent’s squad. Thanh Hoa will be without the key strikers Rimario Gordon and Errol Stevens due to injuries.

At Hang Day stadium this season, Hanoi have not lost a single game in V.League and another win will be the target for the defending champions.

Elsewhere, Ho Chi Minh City are still in shock after their loss against bottom club Sanna Khanh Hoa. Chung Hae Song’s side will find it hard again this weekend in the match at Quang Nam where they will be without key midfielder Do Van Thuan due to suspension.

Furthermore, the host (Quang Nam) are still in a dangerous place in the relegation fight, so they will give it their all to try and secure all three points.
