The Malaysian Football Association (FAM) is aiming for the country’s Under-19 squad to advance to the final round of the ASEAN Football Confederation (AFF) B-19 Championship in Vietnam.

Malaysia faces a difficult path in the 17th edition of the tournament, after being drawn against five-time champions Thailand and four-time champions Australia in Group B, along with Cambodia, Singapore and host Vietnam.

This tournament is seen as crucial preparation for the upcoming AFC U19 Championship Qualifiers – the first step on the long road to the U20 World Cup – where they will also face Thailand and Cambodia.
