Zenit St. Petersburg Iranian striker Sardar Azmoun has started Russian league new season brilliantly.
In his seventh season in Russia, Azmoun was on target twice and provided an assist in opening 4 fixtures and helped Zenit to sit on top of the table with 10 points.
Azmoun who has always been a transfer target for Europe big guns including Liverpool and Lazio in recent seasons, has joined Zenit in January 2019 and in his debut, he scored two goals and registered one assist against Fenerbahce in the Round of 32 in the UEFA Europa League.
His sparkling form has continued in new season and his friendship with Artem Dzyuba is helping to nurture a fruitful partnership on the pitch. They have managed 5 goals and 3 assists between them and are currently the most dangerous attacking due in the league.
