Ho Chi Minh City have lost their second match of the season, as they were beaten 0-2 by SHB Danang in their away trip last Thursday. Chung Hae Song’s side could not cause any harm to the host’s defense as they played without key players in the attack.

Despite Ho Chi Minh City’s defeat, Hanoi failed to take advantage and decrease the gap at the top of the table as they were held by Hoang Anh Gia Lai in a 0-0 draw. Hanoi now have 22 points after 12 games, leaving them four points behind their title rivals from the South.

Elsewhere, Hai Phong had the extraordinary match as they dominated the game but failed to convert their chances and finally lost 0-3 to Quang Nam at home.

Viettel and Than Quang Ninh produce the most exciting encounter of this matchday, with the sides sharing the spoils in a six-goal thriller.
