Vietnam

Vietnam Will Not Call Quang Hai, Van Hau for AFF U22 Championship (Football Tribe Vietnam)

Vietnam U22 team head coach Nguyen Quoc Tuan indicated that he will not be calling up players under 22 years old who played in Asian Cup with NT. This includes Vietnamese player of the year Nguyen Quang Hai, and fellow rising star Doan Van Hau. He said that he aims to give chances to other players in this age category to play at the AFF U22 Championship.

Indonesia

Simon McMenemy Announced as New Indonesian National Team Coach (PSSI)

Simon McMenemy was officially announced as the new Indonesian national team head coach until December 2020. Simon has already scouted players in three Indonesian Cup matches: Persija Jakarta vs Kepri Jaya, Persebaya Surabaya vs Persinga Ngawi and Arema FC vs Persita Tangerang. The main target for the Scotsman is to win the 2020 AFF Cup, and also take the Garuda through to the second round of the qualifying campaigns for both the 2022 World Cup and 2023 AFC Asian Cup.

Thailand

Thai League Sides Feature in J.League Asia Challenge (Football Tribe Asia)

This weekend, two Thai League clubs will have an opportunity to test themselves against J1 giants Sanfrecce Hiroshima and Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo, in the J.League Asia Challenge. Two time-FA Cup winners Chonburi FC beat Sanfrecce Hiroshima 2-1 on Saturday. The next day, last season’s runners-up True Bangkok United were beaten 5-1 by Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo, captained by Thai star Chanathip Songkrasin on the night.

PKNS FC Hold Season Commencement Ceremony (Football Tribe Malaysia)

The ceremony to introduce the players and official shirts of PKNS FC was held last week. The club, who used the Lotto brand as their official brand, maintained orange as their main home strip color while adopting green and maroon respectively for their second and third kits. Quoting PKNS FC's official statement on the club's official Facebook page, the slogan "#FearNothing has been dedicated to PKNS FC players not to be afraid of any obstacles. Taking small inspiration but a big spirit as PKNS FC's team, never give up attitude, teamwork and quick-snapping opportunities will be put into force. "
